The No.2 generator of the Jawa No.7 project constructed by Guohua Power of China Energy Investment Corporation in Indonesia was successfully connected to the country’s Bali Grid for the first time on August 20. In the process, both the main and auxiliary equipment of the generator operated steadily, with all indicators within the normal range. The steam and water quality also met the standards, and the automatic switch-on device and environmental protection facilities such as electric precipitators and desulfurization reactors also operated well.

The Jawa No.7 project features the first 1,000-MW generator exported by China, which is also the single generating unit with the highest capacity in Indonesia. It adopts the most advanced coal-fired power generation technology of China and even the world, and its integrated DCS control system uses the EDPF-NT Plus DCS system that China Energy owns independent intellectual property. The generator leads its counterparts in terms of efficiency, automation level, environmental protection and localization rate. Since the project’s No.1 generator was put into operation on December 13, 2019, it has maintained stable and reliable operation, with all operational indicators performing well. Moreover, the No.1 generator has created a record for continuous safe and stable operation among generators of the same type developed by Guohua Power, and received wide attention and high praise from industry insiders from both China and Indonesia.
